My name is Robert.
To quote one of my favourite fictional characters; "Me come from Jamaica, weh dem have wata". At this point in my life, I am unsure of specificity of job title. I enjoy graphic design, illustration, typography, lettering, motion graphics and music composition. I have varying skill and understandings of each and loooooove having them collaborate & complement each other. I believe in some respect, at the very least since I learned the term; I aspire to be a renaissance man.

Entrepeneurship is another great interest of mine. I remember as a young boy, being given lunch money in grade 6 and ensuring that I would save as much of it as I could each day. My school at the time, Vaz Prep, even helped us to open bank accounts to save the money in.
That desire to save later evolved into one of constantly coming up with business ideas. In high school I would constantly rave about some new initiave and try to convince friends to join in; from a barbershop to an investment club. Whatever tools or new craft I would learn, gears always turned to how I could use them towards crafting a business; much like the swordsmiths of old.

The third major influence on my life I believe is that of a spirit of giving. I grew up in an environment where valuing people and helping others was seen often. Both of my parents were often the "me prefer fi talk to" person of the various capacities they held. My church since birth, Mountain View SDB, is in an inner-city community. And over the years, due to a big extended and church families, I have been around children and 'young people' alot. Many of whom have experienced a harder and harsher side of life much younger than ideal.

These influences have stayed with me.

While I have tried my hand at launching products three times before this, I had never made it official. Those apps/ games were at the mercy of the digital storefronts I sought to get them on, were admittedly undermarketed and ultimately did not make the splash I hoped for. The most financially successful of the bunch, Shapes & Sound: The Shape Shooter by ARRG Studios, which was for a short time an Android darling, did not even see a full commitment from us as a team at that time. Nevertheless, my friends and I learned as a team from that experience a lot and I am doing my best to use those experiences to build better and stronger, as would a muscle.

Enter Wbuttr™
Registered and official. An amalgam of my interests. The sum of my lessons and experiences thus far and what I hope will be a source of learning (and earning haha) for at least a few years. My goal for wbuttr™ is inspired by the objective I wrote on my first resumé; “To positively impact lives through design.”

Wbuttr™ takes the shape of a premium story-driven, apparel brand with a spirit of giving and the form of a prize inside :). It means going the extra mile, surprising and delighting. Why? Because we believe Warmth Is Spreadable™.

So here is to this summer where we will have our first limited edition promotional event and officially launch regular operations thereafter. Here is to the adventure; the jounrey. *clink*.
