Meet Patrique Goodall of Likkle Tea!
What is Likkle Tea?
Likkle Tea is a Jamaica tea company which specialises in loose leaf tea and tisane blends.
Who are you?
Patrique: I am Patrique Goodall. A tea lover and tea enthusiast turned tea sommelier and owner of Likkle Tea.
Where did the idea for Likkle Tea come from?
Patrique: The idea for Likkle Tea came after a period of sickness, stress and really just feeling overwhelmed with a lot that was happening in my life. A friend’s mother began giving me tea every day after work and before I was through with a cup, I immediately felt better after my hectic day and about all I was dealing with. So I guess it’s safe to say that I experienced the joy of tea and began working on an idea of wanting to share that joy with others.
How long have you been in business?
Patrique: Likkle Tea has been in business for one year and six months. :)
What does customer service mean to you?
Patrique: Customer service is paramount to the success of any business large or small. Most of my customers came from word of mouth, and then these same customers became repeat customers going on one plus year later. I don’t just sell a product, I sell an experience and I believe that each customer has the ability to grow your business or stunt its growth.
Tea is very personal and when I just started, I took the effort to deliver all my packages myself to meet my customers. Some deliveries were 1 minute and others lasted 30+ minutes because I found myself going on about tea, telling each customer how to prepare it and why it was important to take time out to prepare tea. For me this personal touch made a big difference and my customers won’t ever forget that level of service.
In the works? Excited about?
Patrique: We just launched our infused honey line which has been very well and because of the response, we are working on a line of flavoured stevia. We’re also working a on a line of tea infused skin care and self care products – Sweet Blessed Love – which is a collaboration with NGozi Sweet Blessings.
Favourite buttery treat?
Patrique: I love croissants! My favourite would have to be a warm chocolate chip croissant from Christina Simonitsch.
